Sorry, this entry is only available in Español.

Some events serve as a barometer for innovation, and our participation in DigiOn has confirmed that the forecast for the islands is brighter than ever. We are not saying goodbye to an initiative; rather, we are celebrating a key milestone in the journey we are taking with Canarias Living Lab’s project. This forum was not a finish line, but the engine driving us toward the next phases of transformation.

Putting people at the heart of technology

At the Emotur Lab stand, technology wasn’t the only protagonist—people were. The real value of these days lay in the conversations, the handshakes, and the shared vision of a digitalized Canary Islands built with purpose. DigiOn gave us a platform to demonstrate how data and human emotion can work hand-in-hand to truly improve the quality of life in our community.

We have seen firsthand that real innovation doesn’t happen in a vacuum; it happens through direct interaction with the citizens. Our experience at the forum served as validation that a human-centric approach is what truly transforms a digital tool into a social solution within Canarias Living Lab’s project.

A strategic alliance for the future of the islands

This showcase of talent and technology was made possible thanks to the support of the Ministerio para la Transformación Digital y la Función Pública and funding from the Unión Europea (NextGenerationEU), both of which are cornerstones of the Plan de Recuperación, Transformación y Resiliencia.

On a regional level, the momentum provided by the Consejería de Universidades, Ciencia, Innovación y Cultura and the Agencia Canaria de Investigación, Innovación y Sociedad de la Información (ACIISI) acted as the wind in our sails, ensuring our presence at DigiOn was a resounding success. Thanks to this public-private collaboration, Canarias Living Lab’s project has the solid foundation necessary to continue scaling its impact across the entire archipelago.

The forum has come to an end, but the laboratory remains very much alive. We are returning to our offices with renewed energy to continue building, testing, and evolving Canarias Living Lab’s project.
